A lone figure sat perfectly still in the middle of a forest clearing. The usual Mist of the forest was nowhere present around the area of the figure. The wind did not blow, the creatures did not rustle. The area was in absolute silence, eerie yet comfortable.
In the trees above sat Dorumon, watching his master intently. He had told him earlier, 'I'm waiting. I can feel a presence nearby. He said this an hour ago, and ever since, he sat in a deep meditation. His tamer did this often enough for it to be a commonplace event.
In the area below, Daisuke was concentrating keenly on the task at hand. Meditation always cleared his thoughts, and at the moment, he had a good few thoughts running rampant in his mind. 'Sensei said something about other Chosen. I'm guessing there's one for each Sovereign.'
Daisuke wondered idly about what kind of people the other Chosen would be, but then shook his head lightly. 'It's best not to expect anything from life.' He kept his eyes closed and resumed his focus on meditating. He could feel the spiritual pressure in the area, and he wanted to be ready.

Hoshi Shui and her partner, Commandramon, were patrolling Misty Trees for Baihumon. Well, he didn't ask him to do so, but the girl was so excited about doing something for once that she practically shot out the door. She got excited like that, a lot. Humming to herself, she trot forwards gladly, smiling all the way. She didn't expect to meet any other Chosen at the time being, even though they did usually get around places a lot.
Commandramon in the meanwhile was quite worried that Hoshi might do something reckless (again), as he had to digivolve only a bit ago to defeat an angry Gekomon that didn't exactly like Hoshi prancing about randomly in his territory. Well, it was actually pretty strange that he didn't know that she was a Chosen, as lots of digimon held respect for the tamers of the Sovereigns.
The two came to a clearing, sighing as the mist wasn't so thick in the spot. "Dang, Cherrymon definitely does his job.. but a bit too well," Hoshi remarked. "I can't help but agree with you," Seisei replied, the two of them smirking. In truth, they had been wandering the place for hours on end, but Hoshi's digivice began bleeping all ugly-like an hour ago.
"Well, if you were a tree. In the middle of the forest. Surrounded by a threat of Dem- er, evil, wouldn't you want to protect your home?" questioned Commandramon, looking up to his tamer as he spoke. She nodded, smiling at her partner before she came to a place where no mist was.. at all.
"Hey look, a person. Think he might be a Chosen?" Hoshi questioned, looking over to her partner. "Possibly, but I can't see his digimon," Sei replied. Hoshi nodded, before speaking to him by means of shouting over the small distance between them.. (She exaggerated a lot.) "Hey!"

Daisuke quickly fluttered his eyes open at the sound of his name. He lookes up to see a girl with brownish hair, seemingly in her teens. By her side stood a digimon he easily recognized as Commandramon. Seeing the digimon with her, he decided it would be unwise of him not to take precautions. With a quick hand signal, he muttered under his breath. "Dorumon."
At the call, a creature seemed to appear out of nowhere at Daisuke's side, who was now standing up. He looked around quickly to see if there were others in the area, as it wasn't the first time he had been ambushed that day. After deciding that there were no other potential threats in the area, he began his line of questioning.
"If I may ask, who are you?" He asked in a quiet tone. But with the overall silence in the area, the voice carried far enough to be heard. Dorumon stood by his side, motionless, but ready to strike at any second. It was how he had been trained since day one.

Hoshi nodded, knowing this guy was probably not too trusting of her. She'd met plenty of people like him before, well, digimon, I meant. Well, she probably had to answer or he'd attack anyways. The brown-haired girl couldn't help but wonder who he would be, to be trying to assert an authority-like stance of 'oh i'm cool, haha' over her. "I'm Hoshi Shui, the Chosen of Baihumon. This is my partner, Seisei. You are?" she answered and questioned.
Commandramon was quite uneasy, holding his rifle against his shoulder. He could drop it down and pull into combat at any time, as the DORUmon didn't seem... ordinary. He was giving off a much more powerful.. well.. aura, than other digimon. It seemed at least close to Seisei's level, heck, it could even be more than his.
Hoshi calmly sighed and 'chilled out,' if I may. She calmed down so that in case of battle, she would be able to fight. But still, she would be plenty ready to spring back to friendliness if need be. Which, well, who knows? She'd probably be stuck doing that anyways. Well, stuck made it sound like she would be forced doing that. Nah, Hoshi really loved being nice to people. It was one of her good qualities she wouldn't admit too openly.

Dustin nodded at her response, but on the inside was interested greatly in what she was saying. It became apparent that she was one of the Chosen as well. He figured that this girl was on the same side as he was, and it would probably be smart to give her a name, as well. "Very well, I am Daisuke Yoru, Chosen of Zhuqiaomon. My partner is Dorumon." He spoke in the same quiet tone, but this time, it had a hint of curiousity.
This was getting very interesting. He himself had never expected to meet another Chosen that quickly. 'Looks like I have a God on my side after all. And not just a God of Digimon.' Dustin returned his gaze to Hoshi ind smiled the warmest he could. "I guess we're both in this boat together. Zhuqiaomon told me bits and peices about the evils that are currently lurking around in the Digital World."
Dustin nodded again, before making a last statement, more of an afterthought than anything else. Why don't we work together to rid this world of corruption and sin?"

Hoshi nodded upon hearing his name, and smiled. Well, at least he wasn't an enemy. But, hey! To boot, he was a Chosen, too! That was actually pretty cool, as the girl hadn't met others like her under the Sovereigns yet. She wondered what this guy was like.. 'Guilty until proven innocent'? Shi had met a handful of digimon like that so far, but digimon weren't the only ones with personality quirks like that.
"Yeah, Baihumon briefed me on the same thing.. Huh? Lets' go for it!" Hoshi replied, looking over to her partner who had calmed down. He simply held his rifle at a normal stance, but now he wondered why he lugged around the thing anyways. It was actually kind of, oh, I don't know, heavy at times?! Yet he still had to protect Shi..
"So anyways, since you're a Chosen, it's fair to assume that you and Dorumon are strong, right, Dai-kun~?" Hoshi questioned, giving Daisuke her own little nickname. She did that with people, although most of the time they typically didn't like the whole idea of random nicknames out of the blue.

Dorumon sat idly by Daisuke's legs, looking the Commandramon in the eye. The creature seemed to be powerful, probably around the level he was at, but he would never admit that out loud. Dorumon listened to the conversation between Hoshi and his Master a bit, almost cringing when he heard the nickname. 'Dai-kun.....oh dear...'
Daisuke nodded at what he was told about Baihumon. 'It makes sense that she would have been forewarned about the dangers. Still, this must be quite dangerous if it has all four of the Sovereigns worried about it. Is this the purpose of the Chosen? He was brought out of his thinking by a question from Hoshi. "So anyways, since you're a Chosen, it's fair to assume that you and Dorumon are strong, right, Dai-kun~?"
Daisuke blushed a bit and faltered. Did this girl that I just met really think she could nickname me.........Oh well... After regaining his composure, he thought to himself for a minute at her question. "Well, it depends on what you consider strong, I guess. Dorumon and I have had our fair share of adventures, but strength comes in many forms," Dustin answered.

Hoshi nodded, applauding his wisdom in her mind. He seemed to know plenty about things, definitely showing the strength of mind there. Though, maybe he was actually avoiding the question? Nonetheless, it would be figured out eventually considering the fact that he was indeed a Chosen.
"I see, good point. I have plenty reason to assume that you're quite intelligent from that statement you made," Hoshi said, half-smirking, half-smiling at herself. It must've been true, there weren't many people she'd known that took a step back that far to analyze situations, people, and things. Well, to say the least.. she wasn't one of them.
"Anyways, besides that. We need to try to figure out how we're going to approach the threat. It'd be quite bad if any digimon outside of the Sovereigns' residence learned about the threat and it would cause an uproar. Perhaps we should speak in a more.. hmm.. secluded place?" Seisei explained and questioned. He was one of the few that would take a step back, but not quite as large a step as Daisuke.
"Good idea, Sei."

Daisuke smiled lightly at the compliment from Hoshi. He didn't receive them much anymore. It was either, 'Do this.' or 'Do that.' or 'Daisuke-sama.', and frankly, he was tired of it. Still, he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Something like this didn't happen just any day. Though it wasn't really in his nature to grow fond of strangers, he felt that this girl earned a modicum of his trust.
Daisuke listened intently at what Sei was saying. The Commandramon obviously had a sense of privacy, but he was right. Something this delicate shouldn't be discussed so openly. After all, the enemy could be anywhere. Though it was paranoia, it was a good practice in warfare. 'Since we don't have eyes in the back of our head, we may as well use our ears.'
Daisuke then got an absolutely wicked idea. He smirked lightly, before speaking in a polite tone. "Yes, that is a good idea. It's best we speak about this more privately. So, where are we off to, Shi-chan~?" Daisuke had to smirk inwardly at that.

Despite being nicknamed so quickly, it didn't bug Hoshi in the slightest. Seisei called her that on a daily basis, though.. well.. it was a bit strange to hear that from someone other than her partner, but oh well. In any case, they did need to find out where to go. Baihumon wouldn't exactly stand for something like, oh I don't know, 'let's use your place kthxbie!' or anything like that. Zhuqiaomon was probably like that, as he was quite well-known for his short temper..
"Let's go.. hmm.. How about to.. Oh, I'm out of ideas. You, Dai-kun?" Hoshi asked, smirking like this time it was her getting revenge. She always acted like this.. Oh well. Commandramon, in the meantime, sighed and thought carefully of what to do.

Daisuke thought to himself for a minute about where would be a good place to talk in private. He couldn't exactly ask Zhuqiaomon to let them stay....he'd more likely burn the two of them to crisp....Chosen or not. Suddenly, an idea popped into his mind. It was a longshot, but it was worth a try. He just hoped that Hoshi wasn't aftaid of heights.......
"Hey, Shi-chan, let's look for a cave or something. If we find a secluded one, we should be able to talk more privately...." Dustin trailed off, before quickly slipping his digivice and his crest out of his pockets. The moment he put the objects near each other, they both glowed a silverish blue color, before a bright lavender halo formed around them.
Dorumon was engulfed in the same colored light, before the data expanded and rearranged itself in a more noticible form. "Dorumon Digivolve To...DoruGreymon!" The creature in Dorumon's place let out an earth shaking roar, before looking at Daisuke. Daisuke, in turn, climbed onto its back, before looking at Hoshi and smirking lightly. Offering her a hand, he said, "So how about it, Shi-chan, let's start looking."

Hoshi nodded, and after multiple tries, made it onto DoruGreymon's back. Geez, was this guy huge! 'Freakin' skyscraper..' she thought, smirking at it. "Alright, let's g- oh, wait, Seisei. Are you getting up here already?" Hoshi said, mostly to herself, before smirking at her partner who was much shorter than her. He couldn't get up. "A little help?" Sei cried out for, sighing, annoyed. "Does it look like I can reach?" she questioned. "Whatever! I'll just go the long way on." Seisei ran to DoruGreymon's tail, though it took a bit, and clambered onto it. He then scampered for a while to get to where Hoshi was. "Sigh.. thanks for the help," he sarcastically mumbled.

"Okay, let's go. Hold on tight to something if you don't want to fall off." He said this somewhat jokingly, as he pocketed his crest and D-3. he looked around to make sure there were no digimon under him or something, and gave the all clear signal to DoruGreymon. With a mighty roar, the red dragon took flight, climbing higher and higher into the sky. A minute later, he stopped the ascension and moved forward. Dustin scanned the area below. It was quite a view, but so far, he didn't see anything that they could use.
Looking behind him, he asked lightly. "You okay there, Shi-chan?" He wasn't exactly sure if the girl was used to flying so high in the sky on the back of a huge dragon digimon, and he wanted to be sure she didn't get airsick or anything.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me," Hoshi muttered, smiling at her partner. Why did he even need to be in rookie form? Well, that was the question. He de-digivolved into Missimon and slammed into Hoshi, and she gently held him so that he didn't fall off. That would call for at least ultimate to get back over. So sat she did, looking down at the ground. There was some sort of a cliff..
And a cave? Perfect! "Hey, look over there! There's a cave! Let's stop there," the girl muttered, smiling. Missimon's eyes darted around. "Where?" he questioned. "There! Over there!" Hoshi bonked him over the head, pointing over to the cave she had spotted. "Oww.."

Daisuke followed the girl's finger, noticing the indentation in the rocky surface she was talking about. The area looked pretty secluded, and he couldn't sense any seperate presences in the cave. He shrugged and gave the command to DoruGreymon. "DoruGreymon, we're going to that cave over there. Daisuke said as he pointed to the area where they were to land. The giant red dragon gave an almost unseen nod, as he suddenly shot up higher into the sky to avoid a particularly strange digimon that was flying in the sky just under him. Daisuke held on tightly as the dragon was flying in an almost vertical fashion.
The dragon started to dive, heading towards the cave that they had spotted minutes earlier. Daisuke shook his head to himself. 'This isn't supposed to be a roller coaster ride...' He thought idly, as the Dragon continued his rapid descent. When they finally reached the cliff itself, DoruGreymon came in haphazardly, landing on the ground with a halting stop. The whole fashion of the ride made daisuke let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in.
